Worship
(this link is often updated by Friday for the following Sunday)

The sanctuary of Cornerstone Community is a place built to feel God’s presence and provide space for a meaningful worship experience. Worship begins here every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. and is a blend of traditional and contemporary with prayers, hymns and songs, a choral anthem, scripture, and sermon. It is in worship we begin to discover how God's story and our story intersects and intertwines. The service typically lasts about one hour.

We welcome all children to worship. Between September and June, the children sit with their parents or guardians for the first 15 minutes of worship, then, following a "Time With Our Children" with the Pastor, the children and youth may be excused to Church School classes. Each Sunday, September through June, we provide nursery care during worship as well as rocking chairs at the rear of the Sanctuary for your convenience. Children's coloring and puzzle pages are available in the entry hall.

Communion is served the first Sunday of every month, as well as certain church holidays throughout the year. All are invited to this family meal of faith which is a celebration of God's love and grace. We observe an open Communion welcoming all who seek to walk newly in God's ways through the Christ;
who seek to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. All are welcome to God's Table.

We want you to be comfortable when visiting us. Dress for worship is very broad and all attire is acceptable. Women tend to wear skirts, slacks, or dresses. Men usually wear dress shirts and slacks, but it can vary from collared shirts and khakis or jeans, to sport coats, and sometimes suits and ties. Come as you are to worship, and let us welcome you as Christ has welcomed us.

Worship

(this link is often updated by Friday for the following Sunday)

Worship is the main time the people of faith gather.

We come together to sing and to pray, and to listen for God's Word as we hear the Bible read and interpreted;

to see old friends and make new ones;

to discover how God's story and our story intersect and intertwine.

Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary.

We need a balance of each style to open us into a new sense of meaning within worship and within our lives.

Respecting tradition and celebrating the new gives us a sense of spirit and renewal which enables us to embrace the principalities and powers of the week ahead.

Between September and June, children and youth sit and worship with their families for the first 10-15 minutes of the service and then leave for Sunday School following the "Time with our Children" segment.
